About
Encouraging. Connecting. Learning.
I have been in education since 2006, when I got my first teaching job in Osceola, IA. I taught 7th Grade Geography and coached baseball and basketball at the high school level. I taught there for 7 years.

Next, I took a 7th Grade Geography teaching position at SE Polk Junior High. I spent 2 years there while attaining my master's degree in Educational Leadership and Principal Licensure.

Nodaway Valley provided me with my first administrative job as the 5-12 Assistant Principal and Activities Director. I was very fortunate to work with great people here, who pushed my thinking and provided me with the necessary experience to get me where I'm at today.

After that, I took a position as a shared elementary assistant principal in the Waukee School District. This was quite a change for me but I embraced it and learned a lot. Today, I'm currently the Associate Principal at Northview Middle School in Ankeny. I absolutely love it here and have grown so much in my leadership abilities and continue to grow each day.

At home, my wife Brandi and I have two children; a daughter Bexlee, and son Kixsen. We also have two dogs, Maliyah & Millie. We enjoy spending time together and being active outdoors when the weather cooperates!
